Gulf Coast Veterinary Cardiology is proud to partner with dog show associations to provide cardiac screenings at a discounted rate during shows or club-associated events.
What to Expect: The requested tests will be performed at the show/ event, but please note that the results may not be immediately available (except auscultation only). Evaluations at dog shows are for SCREENING PURPOSES ONLY and are not intended to be a clinical evaluaƟon of dogs with known or suspected heart disease. If an abnormality is detected, and if follow-up with Dr. Schlater is desired, the owner will need to make an appointment with Gulf Coast Veterinary Cardiology as a normal client and additional fees will apply—please see details about how to request an appointment on our website. ROLL CALL WILL START AT 8:30AM ONE HOUR LUNCH WILL BE TAKEN AT THE DISCRETION OF THE FIELD COMMITTEE
AWARDS An orange (CAT) or light blue (FAST CAT) ribbon will be awarded for completed qualifying runs. New Title Rosettes for CA/ CAA/ CAX and 8CAT/ DCAT/ FCAT will be awarded.
CANINE PARTNER REGISTRATION If your dog is not yet registered with AKC, simply fill out the Canine Partners Enrollment Application located at https://www.akc.org/register/information/canine-partners/enroll/
Basic Rules
**Only Dogs competing in events are permitted on the show grounds**
** All Dogs MUST HAVE current rabies shots **
** ALL dogs MUST be on a lead/leash unless competing **
** No Strollers permitted in Conformation Show areas **
** Buying or Selling of dogs is Strictly Prohibited **
